Gorgeous Little Ladies

How cute are these sisters?!?!  After rescheduling two times due to weather and illness, I was so excited to finally have this session.  I had so much fun taking their pictures and capturing their own personalities.  Here are some of my favorites!

Owen Turns 1

Meet sweet little Owen.  I had so much fun chasing him around to get his 1 year old pictures!  He warmed up to me and the camera faster than I could have ever imagined and boy did he love being in front of the camera!  John and Jill, thank you so much for allowing me to spend the evening with you and the opportunity to capture this special moment in your lives.  I hope you enjoy!!!

Family Smiles

We took a trip up to Michigan to visit my family a couple weeks ago and we were able to do a quick family photo shoot.  Our time was limited due to the mosquitos, but I think we got some good ones!!!
Love you all and I wish we could be closer!!!

Visit {Nana & Papa}

My parents. aka Nana & Papa, came down to take care of Hudson for a week while daycare was closed.  We had a wonderful time together!  One of our favorite outings was to the NC State Arboretum.  Here are some of my favorite pictures from the evening.  I hope you like them!

Baby Sophie

This past weekend I had the pleasure of meeting Baby Sophie.  What a doll!!!  My friends Lis and Chris allowed me to come out and practice up on my newborn photography skills.  I definitely learned a lot, smiled a lot, and stared in awe a lot.  Sophie was so precious and I just loved holding her.  Lis and I had a bit more excitement than we had hoped for when we tried to get some pictures with her diaper off, and once Sophie fell asleep I felt horrible moving her into different positions.  I've learned from experience to never wake a sleeping baby.  I was also able to snap a couple pictures of their beautiful 2 year old daughter Callie.

Here are some of my favorites...

Outdoor Love { My Husband }

A couple of weeks ago I had had enough!  I won't fill you in on all of the details, but to sum it up I was having a "moment".  I felt so tired and was needing to get away...I mean AWAY!!  My husband sat with me and listened so nicely as I let it all out.  The next day he planned a trip for just the two of us in the North Carolina Mountains.  He booked a cabin for 3 nights for just the two of us.  What you need to know is that J (my husband) and I have never been away just the two of us.  We didn't have a honeymoon and all of our vacations have been with family (we love you family!).  We had never had a night alone since Hudson was born over 2 years ago and it was definitely time.

While we were spending time in the mountains, hiking, site seeing, and eating ourselves into food coma's we were letting go and truly relaxing.  We were both reminded of our love for the outdoors....and each other!  The pictures below are all showcasing my husband on our trip.  I love him so much and don't know what I would do without him.  Thank you J for such a wonderful trip!!!

Caroline & Raegan { sisters }

These two girls were so fun to photograph!  Caroline was a natural in front of the camera and Raegan was suggesting locations left and right for us to take pictures.  They made me laugh more than once, but the best was when I was telling them about how the park used to be a farm way back in the day and Raegan responded with..."Yea, probably like back in the 90's".  I about fell over!  Anyway, here are some of my favorites from the session.

Mallory {Senior Portraits}

This photo session was a lot of fun for me and I really enjoyed getting to know Mallory and her parents.  They were so friendly and easy going I could have photographed her for hours and hours.  If it weren't for the sun disappearing, I think we would have kept going :)  Here are some of my favorite portraits of Mallory.
